Getting married at a far-flung destination is nothing new for famous couples. Singer Ciara and Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russel Willson got married in Cheshire, UK, in a centuries old British castle. It was a full-on storybook wedding, in front of 100 guests including Jennifer Hudson and Kelly Rowland. The bride wore a custom made gown by Roberto Cavalli Couture, a stunning dress in white silk tulle, embroidered throughout with intricate beading and an elegant lace appliqué. Bridesmaids and groomsmen all wore black, which made the gorgeous wedding dress stand out even more.

2. John Legend and Chrissy Teigen – Lake Como, Italy

Ever since they tied the knot in a romantic ceremony in Lake Como, Italy, we just can’t get enough of their beautiful relationship and love they have for each other. It all started with a romantic intimate ceremony, which was held in Lake Como, Italy, which included some very famous guests. Chrissy wore not one, but three unforgettable Vera Wang gowns. The reception was filled with romance, including happy tears, dancing to Beyoncé’s “Love on Top”, and the groom singing “All of me” to his gorgeous bride.

3. George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin – Venice, Italy

After a whirlwind romance George Clooney and beautiful Amal got married in 2014 in the beautiful and romantic Italian city of Venice. Wedding festivities began on Friday, with a ride down a Grand Canal. On Saturday couple exchanged vows among family and friends in a lavish ceremony held at the luxury Aman Canal Grande hotel in Venice. The romantic wedding dress was designed by Oscar de la Renta himself. It was adorned by 14 yards of applique Chantilly lace, with bodice hand-embroidered with crystal beading. For her small frame, this was just perfect.

4. Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo – Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Marron 5 singer and Victoria’s Secret angel got married in a very private ceremony in Mexico. Fireworks lit up the venue at Flora Farms, in Cabo San Lucas. The couple exchanged vows in front of around 275 of their closest peeps, including stars like Robert Downey Jr, Jonah Hill, Candice Swanepoel and Erin Heatherton. The bride wore a blush Marchesa gown and the groomsmen all wore black Hawaiian shirts. If that doesn’t scream ‘destination’, I don’t know what does.

5. Josh Altman and Heather Bilyeu, Aspen

You do not have to go abroad to have a destination wedding. Technically speaking, any wedding not in your hometown can be considered a destination wedding, and if it’s romantic as this one, the place on this list is well deserved. Josh Altman and Heather Bilyeu, stars of Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles, got hitched at the St. Regis Aspen Resort. Altman and Bilyeu exchanged vows in front of 82 friends and family members under a traditional Jewish chuppah decorated with branches and white flowers. The bride wore a beautiful custom Nektaria gown with a long train that featured over 6,500 hand-sewn pearls and beads. Using Aspen Mountain as the backdrop of the ceremony, couple created “rustic but chic” vibe by incorporating winter white florals with frosted green accents and hanging crystal and antler chandeliers from the clear tent overhead. After the couple said “I do”, revelers headed to a reception at the Caribou Club lodge, where guests snacked on late night bites of mac and cheese balls, truffle French fries and pigs in a blanket.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie had one of the most memorable celebrity weddings, and even though their marriage didn’t last, memories of that beautiful day will last forever. Hollywood power couple tied the knot in 2014, after almost 10 years of dating. The wedding took place at the Chapel of the Chateau Miraval in the French village of Correns. The bride wore a Versace bridal gown and a veil adorned with her children’s artwork. The ceremony was all about the family and the kids were included in every single part of the big day.

7. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West – Florence, Italy

Realty superstar and larger than life rapper and entrepreneur went all out on their wedding. They got married in Florence, Italy, at the 16th century Fort Belvedere. The two lovebirds said their “I do-s“ on a hilltop overlooking all of Florence in front of a 20 foot flower wall. The wedding celebration was over the top extravagant and romantic. zKim looked beautiful in a long-sleeve custom made Givenchy gown, while Kanye wore beautiful black Givenchy suit. All of Kim’s sisters were bridesmaids, also wearing white. The huge guest list included a staggering number of celebrities, including John Legend and Chrissy Teigen, LaLa Anthony and Carmelo Anthony, Scotty Pippen, Big Sean and Tyga, just to name a few.

8. Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka

You know this wouldn’t be a fabulous destination weddings list without these two. After being together for 10 years, Neil Patrick Harris and longtime partner David Burtka were married in a very intimate ceremony in Perugia, Italy, in 2014. The wedding took place in a rented-out castle and there were fireworks and, as you would expect, magic tricks. Friend of the family, Sir Elton John gave a special performance at the reception. The grooms wore matching custom tuxes by Tom Ford, and their adorable twins Harper and Gideon were also played a big part in the ceremony.
